In RSS Player version 2.1 and earlier, a user cannot remove individual episodes of a podcast from the app. You can delete downloaded files but the actual episode title will remain under the podcast until a) 50 episodes have been added to the feed or b) You re-subscribe to the feed. 2.2 and up, you will have more control over what episodes remain in the list.
Syncing in RSS Player is very simple. One of the best features of RSS Player is to be able to sync this 'on the go' and not be dependent on iTunes.
You can refresh all of your feeds from the My Favs screen by taping the 'Refresh Podcast List' button.

If you select one of your feeds, you can refresh it individually
While you can use RSS Player without changing a setting, it offers many options to further customize your syncing experience. If you click on 'more' you will get to the settings view.
If you click on the download settings table cell, you can customize how RSS Player downloads new podcasts. You can control what it does with older episodes when new ones are available and whether it can automatically download new episodes when using Wifi and/or Cellular data network
The refresh settings view also offers control on how often RSS Player attempts to find new episodes of the podcasts you've subscribed to. You have the ability to let it refresh every 10 minutes, 45 minutes, every 1 day, or never. We recommend every 1 day. It also allows you to customize what RSS Player does when it finds new items. For a daily news podcast, you might want to add just the newest unplayed item to the queue. For a podcast that isn't on a regular schedule (A podcast that releases episodes at varying times of the week/month) you might want to add all unplayed to the queue.
Once RSS Player has found new episodes You can see the downloads queue
by tapping the 'Downloads' tab. If you have RSS Player set to not automatically
start downloading, you will need to tap on 'Start Downloads' button. You can also
clear the queue by tapping on 'Clear Q?'
RSS Player features three built in playlists. Namely "Unplayed Downloads", "All Downloads", and "All Unplayed".
For the sake of this tutorial, lets assume that there are only two podcasts in my list: "The 404" and "Buzz Out Loud". From both podcasts I have only downloaded the last episode. While I have listened to every episode but the last one (which is downloaded) from "The 404", I have listened to every episode but the second to last one (which is not downloaded) from "Buzz Out Loud".

Accordingly, the "Unplayed Downloads" playlist only shows the last episode of "The 404". The unplayed episode of "Buzz Out Loud" is not in this list, because it is not downloaded.
In the "All Downloads" list there is the last episode from each of the two podcasts. In this case it doesn't matter which ones are played or unplayed but only which episodes are downloaded.
Last but not least, the "All Unplayed" list shows the episodes that haven't been played yet -regardless of if they are downloaded or not-, which are the last "The 404" episode and the second to last "Buzz Out Loud" episode in this case.
In case you don't find the podcast you are looking for with the search function
of RSS Player, or there are too many results and you don't know wich one is the
correct one, you can add the feed manually.
For example, searching for "buzz out loud" returns four (audio) results and it is
not clear if all four are correct.

First of all, you need the address of the according RSS feed. Usually you can find this address on the podcast's website, as shown here with Buzz Out Loud. On this particular site, there are actually two links to the RSS feed (blue frames); important, however, is the address of the feed, which can be seen in the status bar while hovering the link (red frame) or by copying the link location and pasting it, for example, into nodepad.

After acquiring the feed's address, start RSS Player, select the "Search" tab and then choose "Import By Url".
Now the only thing left is entering the address and pressing next.

RSS Player will then add the feed to your list.

Put your file online. See How do I putting my opml file online? tutorial

Open iTunes and go to the Podcast Section under Library
Click on File: Library: Export Playlist
Change file type to .opml and save in location of choice (just make sure you remember)
Your .opml file can be upload to any public server location (iDisk, Dropbox Public Folder, or www.opmlmanager.com) See How do I putting my opml file online? tutorial
Once you've got your .opml file in a public location, load up RSS Player. Once it's loaded click on Search. Now, click on import by Url
Enter the address to your .opml file and click next. RSS Player will then import your feeds. One tip that users have found helpful is to use a URL shortening service such as tinyurl.com to shrink the size of their Dropbox URL or iDisk URL
How to add podcasts to the built in podcast directory in RSS Player?
One of the best features of RSS Player is the ability to find, subscribe, and listen to a podcast from your iPhone and iPod touch. RSS Player's directory has a lot of podcasts already included, but what about a new podcast you found that you want to enter into the directory? You now do it right from within RSS Player.
1. Open up the application (Quick note: You must be subscribed to the podcast that you want to submit. Click on search and import Url to manually add a feed) and tap on the feed you want to add
Once you are on this screen, tap on the blue arrow that is located within the box of the name of the podcast.
You will be brought to this screen. Tap on the 'Add to Public Search' button.
Congrats! You are all done!
